It's so strange how life changes, we all know this but it's not just life this can translate to business as well. If you would have asked me 4 years ago if I shot anything else besides weddings and my creative portraits that answer would have been a hard no. I was so stubborn and set in my ways! lol. I have grown up so much since then. Yes, yes I am still growing up and growing in a business sense. I am spreading my wings. Lol truly loved the backdrop for this maternity out in the country area of Fort Erie. The beaches of Niagara and so many rural areas in Southern Ontario offer such lovely backdrops in general but this ended up being so delightful.
I was so honoured to be able to photograph a good friend of mine who also happens to be another amazingly talented photographers maternity session. Maybe it was because she is such a great friend or just super pretty but somewhere on that day I fell back in love with maternity photography. So this has put me back on the map most definitely for maternity sessions. It spoke to my heart in so many ways and her reaction to the session made me realize this is something that I should be doing again. My maternity sessions will be heavy on the fine art side of things along the lines of my boudoirs. Very unique and intimate sessions. This session was done in the privacy of her own home. Not only do I think this makes our mothers to be so much more comfortable I think it has such a personal touch. I will still of course be doing my maternity in the studio sessions. I have been doing a few along the line in 2018 but this is certainly my mark of being back in the maternity world. Here are a few favourites from my day. I hope you enjoy them as much as i do. :)
